HUFC HIGH PERFORMANCE & WELLBEING CLUB PROGRAM
An opportunity for all players of HUFC to receive specific high performance training and education to help further develop all aspects of each players game.
WHO IS OXIDATE PERFORMANCE?
PROGRAM OUTLINE:
Term 1/ Phase 1: Youth Athlete Development & Recovery
January - March

Program Introduction to athlete development

Performance testing and player assessment
-
Sessions designed to expose youth players to professional training concepts, whilst learning how to manage their bodies

Injury prevention, specific strength training, body awareness, core & joint stability
-
Run technique and mechanics, plyometrics for power development
-
Sprint, speed & agility
-
Recovery based sessions based on game schedules and training loads
Term 2/ Phase 2: Football Development, Performance & Recovery
April - June
-
Continuation of Term 1 fundamentals, incorporating more ball work to enhance the physical foundations made

Continuation of Sprint, speed, agility development with/without the ball

High intensity possession and passing drills, football technique, skill development & football conditioning
-
Players will be retested for performance player assessment & data provided to reflect progress
-
Important players bring boots and runners to each session during Phase 2 - Football Performance

Inclusion of recovery pools to continue our recovery protocols post session
Term 3/ Phase 3: Football Development, Performance & Recovery
July - September

Continuation of Football performance & development focused sessions
-
Continuation of Sprint, speed, agility development with/without the ball
-
High intensity possession and passing drills, football technique, skill development & football conditioning

Players will be retested for performance player assessment & data provided to reflect progress

Important players bring boots and runners to each session during Phase 3 - Football Performance

Players, parents and coaches will be further educated on recovery protocols and the importance of recovery for injury prevention and maintaining optimal performance levels
